The trolls ruined it for everyone.

Due to a sudden surge in hit-and-run, unsolicited, unrelated comment entries to the blog, I have turned "Moderate comments" on in the blog settings.

I apologize to the non-trolls out there for any inconvenience. As I said, they ruined it for everyone.

I'll try to get your comments posted on a timely basis.

Thanks for your patience, and thanks for reading the blog.

Marlipern,

In the spirit of the Christmas season, I would like to offer a bit of song to lighten the mood:

"Have yourself a troll-free little Christmas,
Let your heart be light
From now on,
our troubles will be out of sight"

And is it just me, or has it been really quiet around here since Big Dog left?

Post something already!

Squire,

Thank you for the Christmas cheer my friend, and the best of the Holidays to you and yours.

And yes, it has been rather quiet around here since Bigdog "poofed" out of here. But I'll let you in on a little secret... he's still lurking around here. He's been reading, but not posting.

So, in the spirit of the Holidays, a very Merry Christmas to you, Bigdog. Feel free to join in the fray (once I post something worth commenting on). You are, and always have been welcome here.

And I promise, I will post some stuff very soon. I've just been terribly busy.

I was gonna say something about the ISG report, but I think you nailed that one Squire.

Marli,

And a Blessed and Merry Christmas to you and your family as well sir.

Thank you for your positive comments on my ISG post. I don't post nearly as often as you do, mostly due to my self-imposed ten year rule but the ISG report most definitely cleared that hurdle. And, of course, your comments are always welcome. It was nice to see that someone reads my blog other than me!

Someday you will have to share your voodoo secrets with me regarding how you track your blog visitors. It might come in handy in case I actually get some.

Marli,

I don't know if you have ever seen this but here is the LGF prayer which appears just above their "Add A Comment" area:

"Lord, grant me the serenity to ignore the trolls,
the courage to debate with honest opponents,
and the wisdom to know the difference."

It made me think of you and your recent brush with troll-generated unpleasantness.
